Premium Brand Scorecard
Premium clients pay premium prices to brands that LOOK premium. This scorecard rates 12 signals — type, photography, color, logo, layout, motion, voice, packaging, social, fixed assets, customer experience, founder presence — and tells you which ones are quietly costing you the next price tier.
The 12 premium-brand signals
Typography — does the type look custom, intentional, restrained?
Photography — original, on-brand, real people and product?
Color — disciplined palette with proper hierarchy?
Logo — works at every size, every surface, every dark/light mode?
Layout — generous whitespace, no clutter?
Motion — restrained, purposeful, never gimmicky?
Voice — confident, specific, never "we're passionate about"?
Packaging or deliverables — branded, intentional?
Social — consistent across platforms, no junk content?
Fixed assets — invoices, contracts, email signatures all branded?
Customer experience — onboarding, communications, off-boarding match the brand?
Founder presence — public-facing, on-brand, professional?
Talkerstein recommendation
Score 0-3 per signal. Anything under 24/36 means the brand is not yet premium-priced-ready. Fix the lowest 3 signals first — they compound.
